On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to invite you to the seventh International Workshop on Relaxor Ferroelectrics (IWRF-2020). This exciting event will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania on 9th-14th of August 2020. The conference will be held in Lithuanian Academy of Sciences. It is situated at the heart of Vilnius city center few minutes by foot to the Cathedral Square. The entire UNESCO heritage Vilnius old town is within the walking distance from the venue.
IWRF is focused on the charge/site disorder and its role to the functional properties in condensed matter. This complicated topic attracted many people in ferroic community and much scientific effort was devoted to properly understand the arising physical phenomenon in relaxor ferroelectrics. Thus, multiple IWRF meetings were held in Xi’an, China (2011), Schloss Edesheim, Germany (2012), St. Petersburg, Russia (2013), Prague, Czech Republic (2014), Matsue, Japan (2016) and Vancouver, Canada (2018).
The workshop covers all the experimental and theoretical aspects of relaxor ferroelectrics. It is a great medium to share different ideas from wide variety of experimental techniques and theoretical calculations. The most important task is to share and combine different knowledge so the complete picture of relaxor physics could be established.
We invite all relaxor enthusiasts to this outstanding meeting in Vilnius. It is an excellent opportunity to discuss freshly obtained results, discuss new ideas and last but not the least to meet friends and collaborators. We are looking forward to seeing you in Vilnius!
